This dress is a simple light puffed sleeve, white satin A-line dress with a stunning pleated champagne taffeta overlay. The dress is fully lined with soft polyester lining that will be comfortable for your baby’s skin. The underlining has a light amount of white tulle to sweep out of the bottom of the calf length dress. An attached white satin sash pulls it all together and ties a bow in the back over a zipper closure. You can choose to add a vintage pin out of my collection or add a series of 3 roses made from satin and taffeta. All the seams are stitched then serged for durability. This dress comes with an elastic headband adorned with a champagne taffeta rose.

The dress can be used for a blessing / christening / baptism dress for your new baby girl. This also can be used for a flower girl dress in a wedding or any other special event. Available in sizes 0-3 mo, 3-6mo, 6-9mo, 9-12mo, 18mo, 24mo. Other sizes can be made custom, please contact me via email.

Please let me know what size I need to make this dress for your baby.

While looking for a name for my 5th baby here, I was reading Jane Eyre. I really was thrilled with Charlotte Bronte's writings. After she was born, I knew Charlotte was the perfect name for my baby. Naturally, I went to the historical fashion books and watched some BBC movies and loved the early nineteenth century time period fashion as well. So, this what I came up with in this dress for Charlotte's blessing dress.

The Charlotte dress is made of fine cotton batiste. The bodice has a beautiful pin tucked insert surrounded by satin pipping shaping a V. The gathered sleeve is adorned with vertical pin tucks finished by a satin pipping hem. The A-line skirt is gathered up at the side seams making a beautiful drape in the front and backs of the dress. Chantilly lace fabric is a perfect underskirt  for the cotton and gathered tulle provides the skirt with fullness and softness. Button up the back with vintage buttons gets your precious baby in and out of the fully lined dress. The champagne sash finishes the look with fine sophistication.

Ellis Blessing/ Christening/ Baptism Dress

This beautiful dress is made from crepe back satin, silk, lace and tulle underskirt. The empire waist dress is made with all french seams with the crepe back satin. Satin trims the gathered sleeves. I used the silk to pleat the wrapped bodice. I love the elegant champagne sash around the waistline and vintage off white buttons in back found from my grandmother's sewing kit. The dress is fully lined with soft polyester lining that that will be comfortable for your baby's skin.

I added a piece of vintage jewelry to add to the pin shown in top picture. The pin gathers the skirt up on one side. When the baby is sitting and lying, this draping is beautiful. The lace and tulle underskirt is allowed to show off because of this vintage pin.
